Our opening gambit for this week's Destructainment isn't really videogame related, but we don't play by the rules on Destructoid, even if we made the rules ourselves. I don't think you'll mind much, given that it's a ridiculous toy commercial from the 60's, and they're always good for a chuckle. Ding-A-Ling Fireman to the rescue, indeed.
Yes, it does advertise that the Ding-A-Ling Fireman has a "built-in pumper."
Hamza is at PAX, getting drunk and having sex with all his girls, so we're holding the fort in his stead. After the jump, you can see a Manhunt-influenced cuddly monkey, a fun Mercs 2 commercial, drunken Castle Crashers glitching, MEH-DI-BOT and some Street Fighter IV combat.
Jim Sterling serves as reviews editor for Destructoid.com, head of the Podtoid podcast, and produces a number of news stories, original features, one-of-a-kind videos. With his passionate argumentative style, controversial opinions, harsh delivery, and dedication to brutal honesty Sterling is a name that you can't help but recognize.

Watch out kids make sure ding a ling pedo isn't peaking in your window, and her comes pastor ding Come to save the ding a ling's from eternal daming a ling
I'm interested in that 'black smoke' counter that Balrog pulled 1/2way through the match. Outside of that, which seems to be a SF3 parry, the gameplay looks to be extremely like the original.
@ Reaprar: If you hadn't noticed yet, every damn character in this game has big hands. And big feet. And big muscles. BIG EVERYTHING!
Aside from the obvious 'Ding-A-Ling' and fireman's pumper-based innuendo, I also found a Ding-A-Ling Construction Worker who functions by pressing his helmet to use his 'jumping jack-hammer'.
Then, a Ding-A-Ling [b]enters King Ding's groin[b]. O_O
Also, lines like;
"...King Ding's actual brain!"
"...boys all over America right behind him to help him perform his tasks..." XOD
All this, and it features the Mastermind theme-tune. O_O
I believe it was changed because Vega was seems as too feminine for the manly final boss, so they renamed him M. Bison and the rest shifted around to accommodate it.
Think about the time period that SF2 became a hit. The boxer character is M. Bison (in Japan). Mike Tyson's controversy was going strong and the localizers didn't want to infringe on likeness rights, and also didn't want to associate a video game with a raping lunatic. Thus the switcherooskis.
And I'm pretty sure that Balrog was Bison's name in Japan... This threw me a bit, too.
Also: @Fetus, Yes. The fight scene post-shower in the SF2 movie was fantastic. Lots of action and fan service.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Peter Serafinowicz (spelling?) is so awesome

Yeah, in Japan:
Vega = Balrog
M. Bison = Vega
Balrog = M. Bison

Balrog means snake, thus the American "Vega's" tattoo.
M. Bison = Balrog.
The reason it was changed was due to Capcom not wanting to be sued by Iron Mike since they were parodying him after his rape case.
Vega is a Spanish last name. It is definitely NOT feminine.
