Weekend Charity: Buy a game, help CF foundation photo

I'm not going to lie here; I have not idea who MC Chris is or what his music sounds like, nor do I really care. What I do care about is that he's selling off a boat load of relatively recent Xbox 360 and PS3 games with all the proceeds going to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. If you've been looking for any of the games found on his eBay page (Splinter Cell: Conviction, Mass Effect 2, Call of Duty) this would definitely be a great place to get them.

Since MC Chris's nephew was diagnosed with the disease he and his fans have raised over $80,000 for the Foundation, which is quite a feat. Even if you aren't down with any of the games on his list you can always head over to his site and make a donation to a very worthy cause.

On a more personal level, I have a cousin with cystic fibrosis and it is not an easy disease to live with, yet she is always happy and wanting to play around. It's really amazing how resilient and strong she is. Even if you don't win, a bid on one of his games or a donation would really mean a lot.

[Thanks, Tony. M]

MC Chris is awesome, I know you said you don't care Matt, but just go on youtube listen to Hijack or Fett's Vette, or really any of his songs. A lot of them are about video games.

Come on. You've really never seen an episode of ATHF with MC [name]?

We should get some of the anti-used games people on Destructoid to tell him how he's a bad person who's hurting the industry.

its mc chris, lowercase, no dots, rewind.

mc chris is really good. If you don't know his music you might know him from his work on Aquateen Hunger Force, he did the voice of Mc Peepants or as the voice of Hesh on Sealab 2020. He also wrote for a lot of the Adult Swim shows including the rap off episode of The Brakk Show. His song, Fett's Vette was featured in Zack and Miri makes a porno during the Star Whores scene. mc chris is also considered one of the originators of nerdcore hip hop.

@everyone who mentioned mc chris's Adult Swim work, he has a new show coming up on AS where he voices the lead character called Tight Bros. I'm not sure when it comes out or what it's about, but if mc is involved I'm sure it'll be great.

On a side note, a fan of MC Chris is also pitching in an original NES Action Set.

He says 15% of it will go to the same charity!

This brought to my mind something I have been thinking about. I think doing charities are great. I have a little rant about them however. So far I think that gaming community has a poor look at how charities should be structured. Take childs play as my example. Its nice and all but is donating so much money to give video games to children really a noble cause? Why not rally the video game community in some other capacity to raise money to maybe cure the illness? Small rant I know, but I just thought I would get it out there.
