Website Gourmet Gaming makes game foods real photo

Videogame food is hilarious. These characters rarely have time to eat with all the day saving they're responsible for. At best they'll snatch up an apple off the ground, or a whole roasted bird out of a trashcan. No wonder they're all in such good shape!

Now that website GourmetGaming.co.uk is around, I wouldn't mind eating like a videogame character. This site takes game food and makes it real, with real recipes that teach you how to make the dishes yourself. Some of the recreations are really inspired. Try the Christmas Special Drink & Nibbles: Skyrim - Black-Briar Mead, Grilled Leeks & Elsweyr Fondue. And for desert, the Key Lime Pie from The Sims.

What I like is that these aren't some crap recipes that tell you to open a can and dump it on something. Take Sonic's Chili Dog, for example. The meat sauce for the dog sounds delicious! I also really like how the food photos look a lot like the original game images. You've got to love the Minecraft cake, shown above.

Go check out Gourmet Gaming and make yourself something good.

Doug goes on to say that they're "not done in" the gaming space, and the company is having ongoing conversations with other potential gaming partners. Check out these Lightning Returns-themed Japanese snacks

Square Enix sent a little holiday gift to my office this week. They're trying to make me fat, it seems. In Japan, there's a strong tie between game marketing and snack food, so you often see game-themed snack food on conveni...more

Japan has a Dark Souls-themed cafe

I've always fancied going to a gaming-themed eatery but there's a shocking lack of them where I live (wonder if I can get planning permission to build my own Deus Ex pub?). That's no issue in Japan, where Siliconera is report...more
