Way of the Samurai finds way to multiplatform dishonor photo

Former PlayStation exclusive franchise Way of the Samurai is joining many other previously loyal games by making the big platform hop. Already released on the PS3 in November, Way of the Samurai 3 is now readying for an Xbox 360 launch in February.

With a Japanese release of February 26, Way of the Samurai 3 on Xbox 360 will include "new elements" and is scheduled to offer downloadable content, for people who need new ways to be of the Samurai.

The game is yet to be released in the West on any format, but an Xbox 360 release may coax Spike into publishing it here. The Way of the Samurai series always struck me as more than a bit silly, but I wouldn't mind seeing the latest come westward.

As long as the game is making it to our shores, I dont really give a damn about "former Playstation exclusives" anymore. Whatever happened to "enjoying games"? It's nothing but a console pissing contest these days.

What wit the the Financial Climate and all, I think alot of Franchise's are going to have to go Multiplatform, just to get to as many consumer's as possible to ensure maximum returns of revenue to ensure they can survive...

Yeah it's sorta weird they're bothering releasing it for 360 in Japan. They must really be hurting for sales. Then again, I guess pretty much anything only released in Japan for 360 or PS3 is doomed to low sales.

Yes, give consumers a choice! Then take away any reason for anyone to buy a PS3 so the consumers have no choice!! YAY!

I beat the first one, but the second one is very claustrophobic and I'm stuck on one of the missions [at the fair/festival]. I could be happy with a sandbox ninja-samurai game set in modern day Tokyo. There'd be gangsters, drive-bys, etc. Can you say "Saints Row 3: Yakuza Pointe"? Ohh yes.

I don't see what's wrong with multiplatforming. I mean if the game already came out for the PS3 what's the fucking problem?
