Also mandatory comment about how single players are losing more and more ground to damn resources being wasted on multiplayer.
As good a game as this game ends up being, it perfectly exemplifies why the software market continues to contract.
*Sigh
Dead Space 1 had the perfect pacing, it was long and fucking good, very few action scenes and more into your head.
DS2 seems to be more action oriented but still keeps the atmosphere of DS1.
DS3 looks like Lost Planet 2 and 3 tbh.
damn it EA.
I do not hate Call of Duty, I hate what its done to the gaming industry.
I think this same video was here on destructoid http://www.destructoid.com/here-s-20-minutes-of-dead-space-3-footage-featuring-co-op-229662.phtml.
Really EA? you're advising (down right forcing is what I want to say) Visceral down this path like so many others? Bleh... I loved the second and first Dead Space, I really, really hope I'll be able to say the same for this one too.
@Kyousuke Nanbu
well put, well put indeed.
but ignoring that i think this series is looking to have gone the way of other 'gaming series that started out great and went shit looking for the loot by aiming for the cod stereotype gamer' type game. Dead Space just doesn't stand up as an action type third person shooter, aiming at glowing orange things or having to always shoot off limbs worked because you were in fear of dying horrifically if you didnt do it fast enough. In the demo the necromorphs just seemed to be annoying, slowing down the pace of the game as they pop out and you tear them limb from limb, but in a non 'fearing for your life' type way, leaving the good parts of the game to the huge boss battles. which while visually impressive were never the good bits, shoot at the orange blobs, dodge, wait for orange blobs to re-appear, rinse and repeat. It isnt likely to be scary, and is limited by the mechanics of previous games which is stopping it from being a great Gears of War type spectacle, even if it will look visually amazing, which in no doubt it will. Looks like they had something quite special, and have copied all the games they feel sell well, and if they promote it well enough im sure it will, wow , i ramble a lot at 3am it seems, soz.
If anything, I'd refuse to buy this game if only in the vein hope that advertisers stop thinking they can sell me on words like "super-cool", "totally awesome", and "epic". I'm not twelve, and those words have been used with such superluous abandon that they have lost all meaning.
