I really enjoyed this video. As I watched EVO I found myself paying more attention to the people playing than what was happening on-screen.
That's really sweet, but it's just not my type of gamer crowd. Mine's more of the "played so many different types of games and observes the industry as a whole" rather than "focuses and excels on one type of game".
Thankfully, one gets plenty of that at PAX. ^_^

Love this video. Eve is so great. I don't know how Poker can be shown on espn as a "sport" and yet the thought of televised gaming is laugh out by people outside of gaming. :(

i expect to see more pro competition gaming on mainstream tv in a few years, it's just plain inevitable. wish i could have been at EVO, man. do they have satellite tournaments in South-east Asia ?
And THAT, ladies and gentlemen, is why I'm going to EVO next year. After watching the finals on the stream with my two buddies, we came to the decision that we can't just watch the stream. We've got to experience the electricity of the fighting game tradition, live and in person.
Yeah, you absolutely have to be at Evo. Its an electric experience! Next year, Dtoid will be out in FULL FORCE!
