As if these SSX snowboarders didn't have enough to brag about already with their outrageous, death-defying stunts, ScrewAttack has gotten exclusive gameplay footage of these snowboarders playing basketball in EA's upcoming NBA Jam: On Fire Edition.
Scheduled for release on October 4 and October 5 on the PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE respectively, Team SSX will be an unlockable team featuring some of the snowboarders from the SSX franchise shootin' some b-ball while performing some incredible jumps as seen in the video.
HD graphics be damned, I just can't imagine playing this without slamming those dunks down with the Wiimote. Unless this features Move capabilities I'll pass and stick to my Wii version (and yes I know there's no online multiplayer, that's because online gaming typically sucks).
I own the Wii version, but never got to play it until just recently, when my old friend came by, we had a couple of drinks and played the shit out of this game. It's really fun playing with a buddy sitting next to you on a couch, but online - not so much, I imagine.
I remember playing a lot of NBA Jam Extreme on my PS back in a day and wish they would've revived some of its elements in this installment. Like when you threw a ball when you were far away from the ring, the ball would turn into a brick, that was hilarious. And dunks were far crazier in NBAJE, than in the new one. You could jump from a center of a field, do like ten flips while in the air and dive right through the ring. Is there a way to pull that kinda shit in new NBA Jam?
@fetusmilk
Does NBA JAM have Iconic characters from politics and other Midway/EA games busting out mad dunks? No. While ill always cherish Street V2 and Street V3 (MARIO BREAKIN ANKLES, NIGGA?), Jam, Jam TE, Showtime, and Jam 01 are immortal. Jam '10. Is really good (PAILIN BREAKIN ANKLES?) And no doubt On Fire will reach the audience it deseeves.
But god almighty, do I wish for NBA Street V2 HD....stupid Nelly and Just Blaze ruining shit.

I confess that I don't know much about basketball, but if I had known that honey badgers played it I would have been all over it. For obvious and logical reasons honey badgers will feature in NBA Jam: On Fire Edition. It will be available on PSN and Xbox Live on October 5th. If you can't wait that long feel free to risk your life by challenging a real honey badger to a game or two.more
