Nexy-poo broke the news moments ago that Sonic will be making it into the Brawl. Well the DOJO just had a triple update for Wednesday showing video and pictures of Sonic in action.  

Until we get the embed codes from GameTrailers, you can check out the video of Sonic destroying Mario, Bowser and other notable Nintendo characters at the DOJO. A second video was also released today from the Nintendo Conference. It's just a quick montage of a lot of the things the DOJO has been updating with in the last couple of months.

So Sonic in Brawl ... who else had to change their pants? The lines at E For All are going to be much longer now.

Finally the question will be answered. Who would win in a fight, Mario or Sonic? Seriously though, anyone not see this coming? It sucks that's it's most likely delayed.

Yeah, I can't say this is a surprise, but it's still awesome to know for sure. And yeah, Nintendo had better have like a hundred TVs set up with Brawl on them, and even then I can imagine huge lines...

The smash bros. website now has the release date at TBD when before the sonic update it was Dec.3, and this is on the U.S. version. That's pretty much delayed to me.

Wow, it only took three comments before someone complained about Nintendo. I'm impressed.

Anyway, this is awesome news. So now that Sonic's confirmed, any bets on who will be the next big reveal, if they have one? I'm still hoping for Simon Belmont (or someone else from the Castlevania series) to show up, what with the already established Konami connection through Solid Snake and all.

If the idea is bringing out Mario's old competition from the days of mascot wars into actual combat I definitely want to see Crash Bandicoot come in the mix. It would only make sense.

I just had a mental image of a tiny digital seesaw, with Sonic the Hedgehog on one end, and a box labeled "Big Fat Delay" on the other. The seesaw is balanced, and so are my feelings about this update. Tricky, Nintendo....

Some guy on Smashboards.com claiming to have an inside source said 3 days ago that Sonic would be Wednesday's update. Maybe he's telling the truth. He also says Captain Olimar from Pikmin will be playable.
