Impressive stuff and ironically enough I am trolling a guy in one of the videos comment sections cause he keeps going on about how awesome he is at the game.

Did the guy just deleted his speed run save file??!! I don't know about you speed runners, but if I did a speed run for any game, I would definitely keep that save file for bragging purposes.

Speed runners typically delete their save files and start over from scratch to demonstrate that they didn't "cheat" and use a New Game+/hacked save/pre-farmed character.

so is anyone else having input-delay problems? it seems to be a bug tied to blocking, and it happens most often when i try to circle around an enemy, i let go of L1, hit R1, and my character does not attack, until i hit L1(block, weird, i know) again. its not a stamina issue as ive seen complaints on forums where people were getting similar delays when drinking an estus flask, and ive had the problem during myy first attack on the first enemy in an area. I hope to hell this one gets patched. a very annoying bug in a game where precision is key.

About 15 hours in, working through the sewers, absolutely HATING the curse-breathing frogs. Level 27.

Just got killed by the Gaping Dragon because my melee does barely any damage to the damn thing. Otherwise it would be way too easy, right?

@Tyson -- I ran a melee build for my first run-through. Bring about 200-250 standard arrows with you and a slightly buffed up Longbow (+3 or 4, maybe?) and you can probably get most of his life just by kiting extremely far away from him with lighter armor on. I never got hit once, but even when I had to go in and melee him because I ran out of arrows, I still just used patience to decide when to get a few hits in and then run the hell away. :P

I could never speed run anything. Except maybe Metroid games but those were made for it.

Yeah, I'm a mostly pure melee build and I deal with this problem almost all the time. Especially during boss fights. Hopefully it does get patched asap.

I just got to Ash Lake. That is the most fucking POINTLESS part of a video game I've ever been through.

I'm level 30 odd, maybe 20 hours in. been grinding a bit, spent a lot of time saving and curing curses!

I'm just trying to get back to the blight town bonfire, I've seen it, but couldn't light it - maybe because I had summons with me? Dunno.

Dem god damned curse frogs....

I'm about 72 hours in... Just got past Dremil The Toothsayer. Level 61.

Yeah, because it's a grind/mmo 0815 RPG.

Just gone 50 hours, just beat Ceaseless Discharge (that's in-game by the way, not some vile personal problem I'm having) then went on to beat Sif. Decided to hang around Darkroot for awhile helping others with Sif for some easy souls/humanity.
Btw, does anyone know where I can find or how I can forge a weapon capable of putting down ghosts? I kind of spazzed around and used up too many curses in Londo Ruins and I've just found out the undead merchant only sells six. I bought them all and now I only have two left...

so i wanted to watch this to get an idea of the game etc. but as i watched it i noticed there didnt seem to be to many enemies(only watched 1st vid so far). is the game normally like this? and if hes not using a new game+ what is up with that super axe he has thats killing bosses it 3 hits? and the sword killing guys in 1?

is that stuff you can normally get at the beginning of the game right away?

I am roughly 38 hours in I think and I am roughly SL70, mostly because I am throwing everything at STR so I can wield that bad ass Dragon Great Axe (STR50 needed). Right now I am walking around in the Gold Hemmed Robes on the bottom, Stone Armor on top, Eastern Helm because it looks cool and using the Gravelord Sword +2. Pretty good stuff, but not as good as some sort of lightning sword for Sen's Fortress I hear. I have not beaten Sif or Sen's Fortress or the Hydra or Ceaseless Discharge. I am looking to maybe take that hollow tree down to Ash Lake and get some shit done just for a change of pace, but getting back down there is something I am NOT looking forward to. Blighttown makes me more upset than Archstone 5 did in Demon's Souls, though the swamp area at the bottom is much easier. I may take a turn down to the Catacombs as well, just for a change again. Man, this game is SO OPEN I love it. Demon's Souls was utterly amazing, but the way the world is connected in this one is nothing short of brilliant.

Lvl 60 , can't beat 4 kings and can't figure out how to finish the dukes library... Taking a couple days off.

I just beat Seath, thinking I might check out the Hollow next, see what that’s all about.

If you get cursed by the frogs in the sewers you can interact with the ghosts but your health will be halved until you can reach an NPC on a roof who can cure you (you’ll need to meet them anyway to drain the water).

This makes Conrads review even MORE embarrassing.

If u wanna level up, get 7000 souls every 2min in darkroot.

There is a cursed version of Artorias' Greatsword that can hit ghosts (as can any cursed weapon). You make it with Sif's Soul and any greatsword +10.

Or you can find the Serpent Ring that increases drop rate and the New Londo ghosts drop the items like hot-cakes.
