Want some straight up, no-bullsh*t, BioShock 2 deathmatch footage? We've got you covered. This new video dresses nothing up, it simply gives you a minute of BioShock 2 multiplayer action. This is what it looks like, so feel free to hit that video and check it out.

BioShock 2's multiplayer is looking fairly standard, but it's helped by the simple fact that it's set in Rapture. The decor and the look of the characters goes a long way toward making this look like more than a common garden deathmatch, even if the gameplay itself is not massively unique.

I'm still a little iffy on multiplayer being thrown into BioShock 2, but what the hell? Let's give it a chance and see if it doesn't suck.

I'm getting the Timesplitters vibe from this footage, but that's probably due to the crossbow and funny looking characters parading about.

Also, that woman in the video image is utterly horrifying.

Sort of a female Rocky Dennis.

Why did I say that? That's a horrifying proposition.

My friend said that it looks too chaotic. I said it looks kind of like ShadowRun. I think multiplayer will be fun, along with singleplayer. I hate how people don't support the game because they are adding multiplayer...

I bet there is going to be capture the flag mode where you have to fight off opposing players and hostile neutral big daddies while capturing delicious lolis.

That was already revealed. Capture The Sister will have you nabbing Little Sisters and taking them to a vent.

Some people might play this. I will not. At least the option is there though.

I don't think I'll be getting into the multiplayer on this.

This could be a straight cluster. This game looks more and more like a rental every time I see it.

As long as single player is rock solid. I'm game. Dedicated servers would be nice too.

Do we really get to use the Houdini Splicers' teleporation skill or did I miss something?

/shrug. I liked the first game, more or less, for one playthrough. I cant help but remember them saying the game was going to have loads of replayability... but it didnt have ANY at all. For whatever reason I found the gameplay to be pretty boring too, and thats with trying to use powers cleverly. It was just... "meh" and the only thing it had going for it was the 50s setting(which was pretty cool).

So I couldnt really care less about BS2. That said so long as the multiplayer isnt hurting the single player(and it doesnt look like it is) I dont see a problem with the multi even if its garbage. Not every game has to do everything or do anything perfectly, but "Fucking sodomites!" is a win in my book.

The only reason I would be against there being multiplayer in Bioshock 2, though I personally don't give the slightest shit about it in the first place, would be if any development time and resources spent on it are development time and resources not spent on the single player. If the effect on the single player game is negligible, then whatever... let the multiplayer whores have their bone. Otherwise, (insert frothy rant here).

What's with all the Bioshock multiplayer hate? It makes me sad that you guys won't even give a try after you beat the main story, bc who knows you may like it! @ Im OK I'm pretty sure I've read a couple times that there is a completely seperate team working on the multi so it shouldn't be a problem.
I think Jim summed it up well, "I'm still a little iffy on multiplayer being thrown into BioShock 2, but what the hell? Let's give it a chance and see if it doesn't suck." As some of you would say, THIS!

I know plenty of people who won't even consider purchasing a game without multi. That's why they're doing this.

Okay you wanna know why Bioshock 2 going to suck? Deathmatch BAM! Team-Deathmatch BAM! Capture The Sister(CTF) BAM! wow creative name? not!...

WTF!?? can't they think of nothing else beside the OVERLY RAPE USED game modes, and if don't agree with me about that, you are either blind or fucking retarded becuz those modes are on EVERY FUCKING GAMES NOWADAYS!

I'm not trying to exaggerate it here, but Bioshock 2 is like MW2 with Bioshock textures and skins. Run, gun, get achievements and get new weapons...wow!

Don't get me wrong, I didn't hate the idea of having a Multiplayer for Bioshock 2 before...I was hyped by the fact that they going to include the pre-quel of the game in Multiplayer, but guess how it turn out...NOTHING! LIKE HOW I EXPECTED! How does the fucking pre-quel, which takes place before the Rapture civil war, look exactly like how it is in Bioshock 1, which is WAY after the war.

If the Multiplayer going to be a prequel they better have my questions answer:
1. Where are the casual people?(not test subjects)

2. Why are there turrets lying all over the place?

3. Why does the test subjects look like Splicers, when they just starting out?

4. Why does ocean water able to leak into Rapture, this is before the civil war we talking about.

But mainly...WHERE THE FUCK ARE THE NORMAL PEOPLE? did they just all turn into Splicers?
