I would LOVE to play this on PC, but I'm a little hesitant because it's an Ubisoft game on the PC. I hope it's third-party DRM free because it looks soooo good.

I am still very interested in how the game works out, the most important thing here for me is that they don't fuck it up with damn shootouts, not all games need to have a lot of shooting.
Agree with Ace, Ubisoft + PC = crap from what I have seen the last few years. Here is to seriously hoping that they realize that overly intrusive DRM does nothing but hinder sales. Especially in an era were we have seen how games can still make large profits on the PC despite what we have heard about piracy and all that jazz. I avoided the rest of the AssCreed series after AssCreed 1, took Anno off my wishlist (where it was at the top stop), remembered the fiasco with the Dust DRM, and the list goes on with them. I sincerely hope they get it together and come out with a great version on PC that does not feel like a shoddy port with lame DRM.
Given Ubisofts recent track record for porting things to the PC.... Speaking for myself as a primarily PC gamer, I'd just as soon have them not bother.

I'm pretty sure that Ubisoft confirmed that the E3 demo was being run on a PC. In fact, I believe that RockPaperShotgun had an interview with Dominic Guay, the producer, who confirmed that the game was running on a PC at the show.
Another E3 will come and go before we see this released. I'm guessing holiday 2013 at the absolute earliest.
Ubisoft's last two PC games (Rayman Origins and Ghost Recon) had no draconian DRM I believe, so seems like they're learning.
They said in an interview the game has been in development for two years, and they actually have Ubisoft's support to release the game when it's ready.
Maybe theyre sort of shooting for next gen consoles? Or at least trying to design versions for them.
I know this isn't that relevant but it's a pet peeve I have, so I have to try and stop it now before it gets out of control like people mistaking Dishonored for steampunk. Ahem. WATCH DOGS IS NOT CYBERPUNK. DO NOT CALL IT CYBERPUNK AGAIN OR EVERYONE WILL.

Radox Redux: What is not cyberpunk in Watch_Dogs? Yeah, maybe the characters aren't some sort of cyborgs but the whole concept of technology taking over society is certainly still there. Take it as a pre-Cyber Punk era.

They can always just downscale the graphics, look at high-end pc games that got ported over to a console. But indeed, it would be better if they finally moved on to other hardware that's already 2 years old at the console's release.

Ubisoft and PC are two words that should be put together. Ive had bad ones with them. I hope they know what they are doing with this new IP.
Valve should buy this game out as a Steam/PC exclusive (the same way MS bought Halo). It would serve the same purpose- to be a "system seller". Nobody can "own" the PC platform the same way Sony/MS own their console hardware, but Steam has enough of the market that bringing people over to PC gaming is pretty much money in the bank for Valve anyway.
LReiviN: Honestly, pretty much nothing is cyberpunk in Watch Dogs. People forget about the 'punk' side of the equation. That is the social fall, dystopian decay, social chaos aspect. It's also worth pointing out that not all technology is cyberpunk. Specifically, cyberpunk is about the combined interface of man and machine.
Though to be honest Cyberpunk is less about literal definitions, and more about the tone of the thing. Watch Dogs is too 'shiny' and contemporary to be Cyberpunk. It's more 'Enemy of the State' than 'Blade Runner'. More about the dangers of surveillance in the modern world than anything socially or psychologically altering.
