Yesterday, Jimithy Starling brought news of the return of Akuma to Street Fighter IV. We were treated to some pictures and now we have video of the ultimate badass in action.

Funny how the first footage of Akuma is of him getting his ass kicked. And by Abel, of all characters. Still, it's good to see the demon back. Granted, I'm not surprised that he was finally revealed, as Akuma has become a giant staple in the Street Fighter franchise.

You know who'd I really love to see come back? Fei-Long. How about you?

Sweet, I just came to post a comment on how awesome Fei Long was, and RAB hooked me up with the good news. My favorite from SSF2.

I'd love to see Ibuki or Oro back, I want to know more about his history.

But as you can see, they're gonna be console exclusive and won't be available on the actual arcade machine.

I'm just fuckin stoked that my local arcade is actually apparently going to be obtaining a permanent Street Fighter 4 arcade cabinet. Sometime within the next month.

YEEEEEEEEEEUHHHHHHH

And for anybody who's from LA, this place is called Family Fun arcade and they're on Balboa and Devonshire.

I can't believe how far my perception of this game has come. When I first heard about it, I was like "oh, great. It'll be another 3D crapfest, like the EX series". But the more I see of it in motion, I'm thinking it might be pretty epic.

@ Franchise and Great Heat

I can tell you guys both that from first hand experience with the game for several hours, its definately a solid Street Fighter game.

I play a fucking lot of street fighter stuff, and this game easily fits right the fuck in. I'm actually gonna post some footage soon that I had shot from the Ghostface killah, public enemy and Street fighter 4 show that i went to last weekend. =] /shameless plug..

Always been a big fan of Street Fighter. Just wondering how much gametime i will be getting out of this new installment. I mean, how long can one play Streetfighter before it gets boring? Loved it in the arcade. Drop in alot of quarters, spend some quality time, then move on...

is it just me or is that music AMAZING?!

i knew this game was going to be good, but when i heard that track, it sealed the deal that Capcom have a great grasp on what the fuck they're doing and this game is going to be just as good and memorable as SF2

Wow, he got his ass kicked in that second round.

I'm so psyched for this game. I wonder what Akuma's super combo is in this? Just the raging demon or the super fireball?

That looks crazy awesome. Thats the first gameplay I've seen of their new SFIV look, and wow does it work. Nice job Capcom. I suck badly at SF games but damned if that doesn't look tempting enough to try my hand at giving out ass beatings again.

They ought to bring back everybody. I mean, everyone that's ever been in a SF but seem to have been ignored.

I'm talking about R. Mika, Oro, Rose, Dudley, T Hawk, Karin, Ibuki, etc.

Storyline be damned, they need to make a definitive SF game and include everyone. Maybe for SFV or something.

Wow, the most generic fighting game character ever just beat Akuma from 20 years ago.

the credits mention character voices... one of the characters listed is "SETH" and its just before GOUKI (akuma) and it is after M.BISON... who is seth? looks to be a special boss character like gouki... did i miss it or did no one else notice it?

looks like it may be scans from the same thing RAB posted... as well as a rendered shot; apparently SETH is already in the game:

Seeing as Dan is already pretty much confirmed, I'd like to see Sakura and Cammy.

Cammy won the poll for wich character fans would like to see in the consolve version, so the chance of her appearing is good at least.

So Akuma does fireballs, lots of fireballs, great.
And the cabinet could have been set to Easy or the guy playing it (if it even was a human player) was very good. But more characters = goodness.
They're arent any arcades near me ;_; , so ill have to wait for this to come out on XBox360. Maybe by then they'll have fixed the damn RROD and ill actually buy one. :).

Akuma deserved to get beaten there. He was spamming those fireballs. O_o
