Warriors: Legends of Troy brings the bosses & cutscenes photo

Tecmo Koei has unleashed a brand new set of Warriors: Legends of Troy screenshots. This week, we get a look at some of the boss fights and cutscenes that will litter the game.

Unlike the average Warriors game, Legends of Troy will feature large-scale boss battles against a variety of mythical monsters. From what I recall of the E3 demo, these fights contain a bit more strategy than your typical button-mashing scenario, so hopefully the fights will be quite involved.

Legends of Troy hits North America on March 8 and Europe on March 25.

There is so little released about this game and it is merely two weeks away. And two weeks after that comes DW7.

I don't see how this game won't fail.

Maybe it'll be worth a rental?

Yeah, TecmoKoei has seriously screwed this game over. Without Jim, nobody would even know the thing exists! And they release it right along side DW7? WTH are they thinking? Troy is going to appeal to the DW crowd, but that crowd is going to be busy playing DW7.

Plus they cut online modes just to make the release date, they should have let DW7 come out, and waited a few months. That will give them time to polish up Troy and release the game in a better window. Of course, it's too late now as production is done. Troy has less than a 10% chance of surviving. The only thing that may save Troy is if the production costs are so low that they don't need many sales to break even. They certainly haven't spent anything on marketing.

The cutscenes are looking AMAZING - but dont think this will make this game worth getting. Can't see how this game will rise above the rest - hope they have a backup plan.

Eh. I'm willing to cut them a break after seeing the great work they did with Ken's Rage, but the E3 demo didn't blow me away, and there's so little out there about this game. Makes me a little worried.

One of the videos for Warriors: Legends of Troy attributed it to something like Koei Canada. Ken's Rage along with all the Musou/Warriors games are Omega Force. Likely, the only connection between Troy and every other Warriors game is that Troy has "Warriors" in its title. (And even then, it isn't something like "Troy Warriors", but rather "Warriors: Legends of Troy".)

So Troy is a Western game developed by a Western studio, using a Western setting and releasing in the Western world before Japan. That would explain why it has had almost zero publicity since its release, versus the flood of Dynasty 7 material available, even though Troy comes out first. It also would pretty much explain why it is releasing around the same time as DW7. Japan probably doesn't care about Troy. DW7 is their cash project. Troy is aimed at Western audiences, probably an attempt to catch Western gamers that don't care about Eastern settings, as well as Western gamers that don't like the standard Warriors games mechanics.

looks like a lot of fun.
