If you've been holding out for Warp, but you don't happen to own an Xbox 360, you'll be relieved to know that it is finally out for PlayStation 3 and PC. On PC though, you won't find it on Steam. Instead, you'll have to head over to EA's Origin if you happen to want this one on your computer. There's a new launch trailer for the two platforms, but it's not exactly a trailer. It's more of a five second clip with the announcement at the end. Nothing too exciting.
Our very own Maurice Tan didn't exactly find Warpto be the most enjoyable puzzle game out there (the controls being of notable annoyance). But PC has always been known to have the better control schemes, so maybe this issue is not as bad or it's completely gone altogether. If you're feeling brave, Warp is available now for $9.99 on both PSN and PC. You can't go wrong with dropping ten bucks on a game, right?
Maurice's review does not do the game justice at all. Classic case of blaming the game and not the player. The controls are perfectly fine once you learn to pay attention to the warp reticle.
Also, has a surprising amount of replay value. 3 or 4 different endings, many collectables, etc.

I love playing Super Meat Boy and all platformers with keyboard and mouse. Fucking blast that is. Anyways, pretty silly statement to me given many games, especially platformers, play better with a stick or dpad. Just like a FPS, MMO, or RTS will almost always control better on the PC. As for the game itself I need to pick it up as a lot of people had a better time than Maurice did. Will get on PSN as I don't really feel like using Origin.
EA: "We are all about consumer choice, as long as they choose our platform."
I really don't think its the money for EA, its about control and having to play by someone else's rules, and EA is the only company I can think of that will make an entire platform from scratch just so they don't have to do what valve says. There is no point for this subpar service, and no point to have a client just for one publisher. Take your toys and leave the sandbox EA, no one will miss you.
No Steam PC release is a terrible idea for an indie dev. Poor guys probably have no choice, though. I'd like to see EA push indie games on Origin half as well as Valve does on Steam.
@Stinky: Who cares? PC is no longer a platform. It has become Steam's platform. A game coming out on PC without Steam (that is to say, in a competitive DRM service rather than direct from developers) is like making a game for an off-brand console that comes with games built in to it, when you should have made it for one of "the big 3".

I was skeptical of The Last of Us. Despite all the hype and high promises, to me, it looked like post-apocalyptic Uncharted. I wasn't sold on the dynamic nature of how the game progressed, and as we all know, zombies have been literally done to death in the past five years.
Then, I got a chance to actually play it. How many days until June 14th again?
