Warner Bros registers 'Scribblenauts Remix' domain photo

The Scribblenauts franchise has been fairly successful for Warner Bros. Interactive and developer 5th Cell so it stands to reason that the series would continue. Warner Bros has registered a site domain for something called "Scribblenauts Remix."

Warner Bros. haven't commented on whether this is a third game in the Scribblenauts series, an upgraded version of Super Scribblenauts or whether if it is indeed for the Nintendo DS platform. There's not much more to go on at this point so we can let our imagination run wild with potentially crazy ideas. A Scribblenauts game for consoles? Or perhaps the more sane plan is for this to be a Nintendo 3DS game or even PlayStation Vita. Yes, that makes more sense.

Another Scribblenauts game on the way? [@Supererogatory, via Joystiq]

The "remix" part has me worried its a cheap cash in but I love Scibblenauts so I have hope. It'd be nice if it was for the 3ds.

This is disappointing. I hate seeing such unique franchises milked for all they're worth after they find success. I'm hopeful about the game, but I just hope there's some meat on this game, rather than a cheap cash-in.

Scribblenauts is begging to be on iOS as far as I'm concerned. Clunky controls and all.

@Neo
Super Scibblenauts fixed the control problems of the first(dpad support). I honestly don't think I could go back to the horrid touch movement.

It's a shame we'll never see a moddable PC release of Scribblenauts, because it'd effectively end the franchise (as one of the coolest games ever, at that).

So this is Super Scribblenauts for Wii U, right?

I mean, that's what I'd do.

Remix makes me think 3DS or Vita. There is no possible way this could even work on consoles.

It's probably both games on one 3DS cart. With add 3D.

Another Scribblenauts game? I'm down with that. I'm always down for some Scribblenauts.
