For all you PC gamers out there, Warmonger is a game I've not heard about before now, but it actually looks like it could be quite fun. Everybody loves destructible environments and Warmonger is promising massive ones. You can't really sniff at that now, can you?

The game is set to be released for free in October, and aims to be the most destructible game ever made. The price is certainly right, and the above footage isn't bad at all. Only a complete arse would want to argue against something like that. So don't.

[Thanks, Donut]

Oh man I love free things.

And if this is done correctly, it'll be pretty damn sweet. I hope though by 'free' they don't mean 'Free, but if you want to actually have a chance you'll have to buy all this extra add-on shit'. I'm hoping it's more along the lines of "Hey, look at our free game and see how talented we are! Hire us!"

This has the same problem that Red Faction had for me. When you would blow up a base, it would still keep that thin line of base there that couldn't be blown up. It looks great and i'm downloading it, but still. Totally destructible environments shouldn't have non-destructible elements.

There's a practical reason why most games have a limit to its "environment destruction".
I might write an article about that... Or rather finish it, after I plugged all its holes.

I think the free comes from Ageia giving them lots of money... I'm just wondering if the "Optimised for AGEIA PhysX" means "required" yes, free is good, but spending $150 on required hardware that has very little other use right now is not so good.

not to mention lets release this the same time as orange box, quake wars, COD4, TEH HALOZ, i think most people will have their multiplayer shooting each other time a bit full already this year

I like how all those games are free but you need that damn card. Lame.

Dammit, AgentMoo and Wargasmic already said it. Hurray for another AGEIA game that about 1000 people will play?

Cell Factor looked even more amazing but that was an Ageia promo game as well. No one could play it due to the physics card dependancies even on levels that were supposed to run without their card.

It's going on 2 years and NO ONE is buying their overpriced card yet they keep hawking it. The ONLY way its going to catch on is if they reduce the price to $50 or less or better yet, go through the OEM motherboard manufacturers as an on-board option similar to low-end GPU's or sound cards

I swear that card could really be cool if people actually used it. Too bad no one does, and by consequence 10 people will ever play this game.

More bad-ass marines with big guns in gritty, realistic environments. Yawn.
