Warm Gun is like Borderlands and Team Fortress had a baby

1:20 PM on 03.08.2011

A brand new multiplayer shooter is coming to PC and, strangely, iOS devices. It's called Warm Gun, and it's a post-apocalyptic Wild West romp that looks like the bastard offspring of Borderlands and Team Fortress 2, with maybe a little stylistic influence from Red Steel 2

Derivative though it may look, I'm definitely excited to find out more. Looks like it could be a bucketload of fun, and if they nail the iOS controls, it has every chance of being a major mobile hit.

I'll be keeping a close eye on it. There's always room for more completely mental shooters.

We can't see the new Doom yet, but it sounds like a return to form

Bethesda said its big reveal of Doom -- that is in fact "Doom," not "Doom 4" -- at QuakeCon would be for attendees only, not for us Internet ne'er-do-wells, but I still watched the QuakeCon stream like a sucker, anyway. When ...more
