MMO and Warhammer fans were pretty upset when it was revealed that Mythic's Warhammer Online was going to have some major features, including various cities and four character classes, removed thanks to being in a condition unsuitable for launch.
Well, it's time to turn those frowns upside down as it's been revealed that the cut cities will be returning as downloadable content. However, this is not paid DLC -- it's actually going to be released as part of your subscription. Here's what Mythic general manager Mark Jacobs had to say:
"Are we going to put [the pulled content] in a paid expansion? No. What I've told the users point blank is that we want to give it to you as part of subscription content. We don't have a schedule penciled in for when that will be coming, but we're going to release it without any additional charge to players."
Jacobs didn't confirm whether or not the character classes were returning, but he did say they simply couldn't make them as great as they wanted. So, either they will return with major improvements, or they were crap to begin with -- we win either way. At least the Capital Cities will be returning, so MMO lovers can stem the tide of their tears for now.

I think that, considering this is an EA-published game, it's a pretty noteworthy thing to mention.
Read it and weep.
Its a WoW clone but takes everything that was annoying about wow and amplifies it x10. The grind, x10 slower. The walking speed, x10 slower. Walking distance between quests x10 farther. The que ue times x10 longer, the Rezz sickness lasts 10x longer, item repair, x10 more expensive and quests give 1/10 of the xp reward.
So if you have no life, Warhammer online is the game for you.
Didn't think so. I saw a review where Mark Jacobs talked about the different directions they considered, but decided to go with the same template that has been used for every other MMO ever because he believed it would be more popular. Doing the exact same thing as everyone else in the MMO market is apparently a safer bet.
Typical EA tactic, clone a successful game, hype it up, watch it fail.

I think what they meant is that so much got cut down that they could easily sell it as an expansion, but they won't.

Lets up your post count to 2 before you swoop away to another forum to defend your beloved. Tell me, whats your favorite part of the game? The 15 minute rezz timer, or the fact that it stcks x5 leaving you with 1/2 half health and from the getgo of the game too.
Or maybe its the outdated graphics engine? No no, it probably the fact that its published by EA.
If you're gonna call someone a troll, at least back it up with some substance. Going around and calling people a troll without backing it up is kinda...trollish, dont you think?
