That Ferris Bueller Super Bowl ad was one big troll, and I'm still feeling the sting. How dare you, Honda? And how dare YOU, Mr. Broderick!? You knew how fans would flip out, yet you went through with the commercial regardless. You are a horrible person, and I wish bad things upon you!

Then along WarGames: WOPR by Be-Rad Entertainment. Based on the classic 1983 sci-fi thriller, it's a puzzler that puts you in the role of the War Operation Plan Response supercomputer as you play a few "friendly" rounds of "Global Thermonuclear War" with characters from the film... especially Broderick's David Lightman, that pompous little turd.

Your goal is to nuke your opponent into dust by matching three or more missile symbols either horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. There are some missiles with HP counters that must be destroyed in a set number of turns lest it blows up in your face. Matching other symbols grants you health refills, cash to spend on tactical commands match the health, or bonus points that grant you single-use power-ups. There's no time limit, so you can make your moves carefully, and because you can match symbols diagonally, it's super easy to rack up double-digit chains. You feel empowered, and rightfully so, since you are the f*ckin' WOPR and take sh*t from nobody!

WarGames: WOPR is available on iOS as well as Android devices for $0.99. That's a small price to pay to allow players the chance to exact revenge on a man whose laundry list of sins extends far beyond a single TV spot -- he had to answer for Inspector Gadget one of these days.

Dragon Quest 2 now available on iOS, Android

Dragon Quest II is now available on your phone, (not you, Windows Phone users) something that would have surely been unthinkable when the classic role-playing game first debuted over two decades ago. I'm over here imagining playing it using a rotary dial now. Thanks, Obama. Dragon Quest II [iTunes, Google Play]more

Review: Neverending Nightmares

Mental illness is terrifying. Depression is a soul vampire that will suck the light right out of you. Obsessive compulsive disorder does not make you a supernaturally great detective like it does in the movies. It makes you p...more

Review: Skylanders: Trap Team

Toys For Bob has found some rather interesting ways to evolve the Skylanders franchise. While the conceit the first time around was simply interactive toys, the developer mixed things up with giants on the second go, and...more
