Warface closed beta now live, new trailer launched

11:45 AM on 01.29.2013

Warface, Crytek's upcoming free-to-play shooter, looks like a lot of fun. I'm genuinely excited about this game and have been anticipating the launch of the closed beta for a while now. Well, said beta is now officially live and some of those who applied for beta access should start checking their inbox for a possible invite. I've been staring at mine all day -- still nothing.

The beta servers, according to the team, will be "live continuously until the game's official launch in Spring 2013." If you have yet to register for the beta, you can still do so here.

Crytek bringing free-to-play FPS Warface to Xbox 360

Okay. I'm willing to admit it -- for as silly as the name Warface is, it's fairly memorable. In a sea of free-to-play first-person shooters, this is among the first (and only!) to immediately come to mind. Not that I've ever ...more

New Warface trailer actually looks fun

I've played and enjoyed a lot of FPS pew pew pew shoot-'em up games in my time, but when it comes to free-to-play I normally find myself left disappointed, either because the game in question is an obvious rip-off ...more

E3: Gorgeous free-to-play shooting all over your Warface

To say that a lot of free-to-play games were at the show this year would be an understatement. Though they weren't all of the same genre, I saw a holy God crap-ton of F2P titles everywhere. This model is spreading like a wild...more
