War of the Roses 'permanent franchise team' formed
Although War of the Roses only just came out this week, Paradox Interactive is already deeming this a successful launch. In fact, the studio has announced plans to create a "permanent franchise team" for the property led by executive producer Gordon Van Dyke. "There is no doubt that War of the Roses has been an ambitious project for us," he said. "The game’s reception from players has exceeded expectations and we are truly grateful for the continued support from the community. We'll continue to improve the game and add substantial content for all players." So while it's too early to go shouting about a direct sequel, it's nice to see them committing to supporting the game in the long term. Not that I would expect any less from Paradox. Did you know? Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)congrats to them, the games not my cup of tea but it's great any new IP does well in this marketplace. "Not that I would expect any less from Paradox."
To be fair, it's Paradox published not Paradox developed. Fatshark developed it. I didn't even realize it had launched. The only fan fare was that launch trailer the other day? I was under the impression that those generally come out a bit before the actual launch? Oh well, glad it apparently turned out awesome. I'll probably check it out in ten years when a do-it-all pc is capable of playing it. I was there at launch and i haven't played since, it may have been successful financially, but the game stinks. 12:00 PM on 05.18.2013 Preview: The Last of UsI was skeptical of The Last of Us. Despite all the hype and high promises, to me, it looked like post-apocalyptic Uncharted. I wasn't sold on the dynamic nature of how the game progressed, and as we all know, zombies have been literally done to death in the past five years. Then, I got a chance to actually play it. How many days until June 14th again?

The game came under some fire recently for being touted as a "short" experience, but I personally can't wait, as PlatinumGames rarely misses. Oh, and it totally has waterslides.

3:30 PM on 05.16.2013 Watch the worst Fallout game ever madeJordan and I have started a new game in our Couch Campaign, and it's one that I have been excited to play since we first began talking about the project. As a huge fan of the Fallout franchise and a lover of top-down, exploration shoot-em-up games, the pairing of the two could have been glorious. And Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel is, provided you think train wrecks can be glorious.
