There's an Iron Man sequel hitting theaters soon, and that only means one thing -- another Iron Man game.

While Sega's first Iron Man title didn't exactly thrill, that's not going to stop them from pumping out another. In theory, this one's supposed to be "better." What that means, I don't know, as Sega hasn't shown us the game in action yet, and this trailer doesn't provide answers beyond "Iron Man's in it and stuff gets blown up."

The film's out in May, with the game release to coincide.

War Machine just propagates the stereotype of dark-colored mech suits.

All future comic book games, even if based on movie versions, should just be Arkham Asylum clones. Though that wont work for all characters. Actually probably not that many. If any.
Just forget it....

I can't believe I got suckered into the full Iron Man hype and bought the first game. I KNEW movie-games sucked and Iron Man was no different. Fool me once, Sega...

Wow, that trailer was so bad, cheesy and obviously aimed at 4 year olds that I'm less excited for the movie. Don't worry Mr. Jr. I will still see your sequel, just try not to let Sega do that again. Bad Sega!

@dip: With the Demon In A Bottle story arc, you think Iron Man is for kids? Really...?

I remember they made comments last time about how they wanted the accompanying Videogame for Iron Man 2 not to suck.

I hope they succeed but this does not raise my hopes allot.

This games smells mediocrity all the way.
But the movie will probably be awesome!

Screw the haters. The game was just fine. Iron Man was another case of people holding movie games to some magical standards they wouldn't even hold a console exclusive to.

It was at least a 7, maybe an 8/10.

I kind of enjoyed the 360 version of Iron Man. It wasn't without its problems, in particular how higher difficulties just meant a shit-ton of heat-seeking missiles coming your way, but I would at least call it decent.

All I'm going to say is: Sega, you've got your work cut out for you. On the other hand, it wouldn't take very much to improve IM2 over its poorly executed predecessor. Just replace Iron Man with Sonic and War Machine with Tails.

I would have to agree with ubersuntzu. The first game was no classic, and as flea says hard mode was as unfair as world at war on veteran, but it was a solid game that got more hate than it should have.

Uber, your point about people holding movie games to magical standards is true. Most of them are so conditioned to believe by blogs like this that all movie games suck, that even fairly solid and fun ( if unspectacular) games like Iron Man and Avatar get called garbage, even though they are far from it.

People just don't want to think for themselves any more :(
