War for Cybertron has double XP this weekend photo

If your Scientist is in dire need of a Sentry Power Core but you're leveling up far too slowly, then help is on the way! Activision has announced that Transformers: War for Cybertron is enjoying a Double XP Weekend from this Friday through to Sunday.

This is great news as I've found that leveling up can be excruciatingly slow. In any case, I'll definitely be making a point to take advantage of some of this, so if you see a green Seeker getting blown out of the sky every five seconds, make sure you say hello!

Double XP starts on Friday, July 2 at 6pm PST and ends on Sunday, July 4 and will be available on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.

Well, I'll be all over it.

Apparently it takes about 20 hours to max out one class normally. This should make things better.

@Snaileb

Game companies still have this distorted view of how gamers work and assume they all have sit-down family dinners at 5:30 sharp while the Dick Van Dyke Show theme plays in the background.

If my landlord would hurry up and pay the fucking comcast bill I might be able to take advantage of this.

I just bought this on my lunch break today. Not even opened. I'm very nervous that I won't like it. I think I have PTSD from the last game.

Offensive Scientist is the best class in the game. Fragile as Hell, but if you're good, your unrivaled mobility makes up for it and then some.

Any word on how well this game is selling? There is so much to put in a sequel, I hope it does well enough!

This game is utterly brilliant. I can't put into mere words how much I love this game.

Excellent, because I'm currently working my way through 11 on each class.

Double XP thing is about goddamn worthless because it takes half a goddamn hour to connect to a damn game. Or maybe its just TDM i don't know, but its seriously pissing me off. High Noon needs to fix the online connectivity problems before offering shit like this.

Yeah Offensive Scientist pwns if you use it right. Disguise, fly over to a couple enemies, back shot their ass, fly away/heal, repeat. I can get up to 20+ kills a game doing this, it amazes me they hardly ever catch on...there's a lot of ways to tell the difference.
