War for Cybertron DLC officially announced

4:20 PM on 07.22.2010

Activision has officially announced the Transformers: War for Cybertron DLC that was rumored a while ago. This new package adds five characters to the mix, including the three original pre-order characters that some people paid over $100 for, as well as four brand new maps.

The maps include a new Autobot and Decepticon in Escalation(DISTRICT and FORSAKEN) and two maps for the competitive multiplayer mode (HAVOK and FORTRESS). The brand new, never-before-seen characters are Onslaught and Scattershot.

Check out the goods in the new trailer. It's scheduled to launch next week, though no price has been announced. I'd love it if this content came with some host migration, by the way!
