Want to play Resident Evil Degeneration? You can ... on the N- Gage! photo

Wait ... isn't Resident Evil Degeneration a movie? Well, yes, but you can't blame a company for making a tie-in. Capcom has announced that a game based on the CG film will be coming, which you may have been interested in playing, but since it's coming to the N-Gage, I have a feeling few of you will actually be able to play it since that would mean you would need to care about N-Gage to do so.

Takeshi Tezuka, the general manager for Capcom's mobile division, commented on the choice of platform for the upcoming title, saying:

"We believe that the platform is an excellent home for some of our most famous franchises and our dedication to quality and creative thinking has seen us create a unique game with stunning visuals and in-depth gameplay, never before seen on the mobile."

Personally, the thought of gaming on a screen that small kind of makes my migraine sensors throb a little, regardless of your Nokia model. If I was going to do any mobile gaming, I'd likely choose the iPhone due to screen size, but I'd have to change phone companies to get one and I'm just too lazy to take such dramatic action. I guess I'll just have to keep gaming on consoles like everyone else.

Any N-Gage/Nokia owners out there who plan on checking this out? *crickets*

Isn't N-Gage more of a service like STEAM or XBLA now?

Anywho, the movie looks crappy.

Jeez, isn't the N-Gage dead yet. It's like a zombified electronic product not wanting to give up the ghost. DIE!

This whole Ngage bashing is pretty dull now. yes the handsets were crap (Ishould know, I sold them) but the new service is pretty sweet really.

Little-known fact: the N-Gage outsells the DS 10 to 1.

Yep, N-Gage is a platform, not a phone any more. N-Gage runs on any Nokia Series 60 device.

Think of it as kinda an Operating system, like Windows or Mac OS

@Y0j1mb0

Which is why it's prefect for a zombie game! Right? Right!?

Or not.

I'll try it so long as it is not a "movie game" (Street Fighter the Movie, anyone?) but an attempt at RE scaled to mobile screens and controls, sure.

And I agree, bashing "the" N-Gage when it was relaunched as a service was fun and all, but now it's *old.* As in, the-service-was-launched-in-Februrary old.
