What do Dale, Nick, Rey and myself get to check out when we head out next month to this year's Tokyo Game Show, you ask? Well, it seems like (via show organizer CESA) a few companies have released listings of what games will be shown, including Tecmo Koei, Sega, Level 5, Acquire and Q Games. Among the list, one notable that jumped out was Professor Layton and the Flute of Malevolent Destiny for Nintendo DS. hey ... that's new! Is it just me, or is that whole Victorian porn vibe really starting to show through in these titles? You can hit the jump for the current list, which is only a fragment of what will be shown at the event, but exciting to see nonetheless. We also know, aside from the list, that Konami will be showing off Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. I'm personally really excited to see Pixeljunk Shooter and Pixeljunk Monsters Deluxe, but that's a totally biased response since I'm obsessed with everything Pixeljunk Monsters. Though it is a perfectly functional and fun fighting game, Dead or Alive 5 didn't exactly set the fighting game scene ablaze. It sold well enough at least, but Team Ninja plans to breathe new life into the game by making Dead... Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly is creeping its way onto PlayStation Network this week. Its arrival is hot on the heels of the original Fatal Frame, which only landed on Sony's online service a few short weeks ago....
Upon watching the new trailer for Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper, one of the launch titles for Wii U, I had to go back a bit. Did it say battle an all Lu Bu army? And you can fight them with tigers? And Ryu Hayabusa? Why the hell not, I guess. I don't know what to say, other than "sold." I made the harrowing decision to pass on Pokémon Black and White when they released, which I never expected to do, as an avid fan of Pokémon. It’s still a choice that doesn’t sit quite well with me (... One thing that's worried me about Dynasty Warriors 7 is the feeling that every character will have the same moveset thanks to the fact that weapons can be shared amongst them. We've been chatting with lead producer about ... Koei has revealed, by way of Famitsu, that Dynasty Warriors 7 will not only be bringing back split-screen co-op, it will also boast online co-operative play. This marks the first time a main entry (not a spin-off) into the Dy... When you woke up this morning, you prayed to your God of choice that you'd visit Destructoid and have a silly amount of Dynasty Warriors 7 images to gawk at. Well, you're in motherfrigging luck, son!
