Activision has announced that the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare multiplayer beta will launch via Xbox Live on August 27. Anyone wanting to get into the beta will need to head on over to Charlie Oscar Delta where you'll be able to sign up (first come, first serve) at 12:00 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time (on the 27th) and hopefully get in.
Entry to the beta and availability will vary by territory. U.S. residents will able to log on for a chance to receive a token on a first come basis. Updates for International soldiers will become available on Charlie Oscar Delta, where details will be shared about the International rollout of the multiplayer beta.
Here's hoping that Charlie Oscar Delta doesn't go down like all beta Web sites inevitably do. If you don't end up with a beta token, you'll have to wait until November 5 for the game to hit stores. Anyone else planning on hitting their F5 key repeatedly this Monday?

They did an early entry for forum members.. You had to send in an e-mail answering questions. Entrants are chosen in waves randomly every night at 8PM EST.
OP, you may want to warn everyone that there will be 3 new questions to answer. It isn't as simple as just signing up.
im in the beta. got in before evryone else. but my damn 360 broke so i gotta go to a friends to play it. its nice though, but you gotta unlock like everything
poor me.being Canadian i'm not eligible for a chance at the beta.maybe theres a way to create an American XboxLive profile like i was able to do in creating my Japanese Live profile. you Americans have all the luck,well not all the luck,you do have Bush as a president and with some of the talk going on about bringing back the Draft some of you gamers may be playing "Call of Duty Iraq" the REAL hands on version.now that i think about it being a Canadian looks pretty good right now.
if some of you get drafted and need a place to hide out for a bit give me a call,i have an Xbox360,Playstation3 and a 50 inch Plasma screen but you will need to sleep in the attic and be my maid,nothing free you know :-}
Oh, shush, with your Canadian scare tactics. There's not going to be a draft. There'd be a large-scale mutiny if they ever brought back the draft for something like the Iraq fiasco. You're just jealous because Celine Dion isn't from our country. ;)
