Want all achievements in Left 4 Dead? Buy them! photo

Yes, that's right, someone is offering their achievement whoring services on eBay. Lucky patrons of this amazing deal will get to pay a total stranger to play games instead of them doing all that hard work. What a bargain!

eBay seller "gamertagz" is offering the full 1000 gamerpoints in Left 4 Dead, Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts and The Orange Box. You will of course have to give this total stranger access to your Gamertag and Windows Live ID. He will then unlock all achievements within an hour, he claims.

I also love the disclaimer: "Again you are simply paying for my time anything that happens during that time is coincidental." That just sounds sinister. Like he's going to mug, rape and kill some old lady but you'll be responsible because you're paying him to do it. Or something.

The sad thing is, someone has actually placed a bid on the Left 4 Dead one. Somebody out there is willing to pay cash, however small the amount, so that a guy on the Internet can play videogames for them. This is the world we live in.

I really don't know what to say... but, how can you get the 50.000 zombie kills achievement in one hour? that's not even... comprehensible?

I'm not going to sit here and say I haven't farmed achievements. I think some achievements are just stupid(like splatter with Mongoose which has a 0.00001% chance of ever happening due to speed/health), so I farmed a few of those achievements to get my 1000/1000 for Halo 3. Hell, I farmed for half the achievements for Pyro/Heavy to get their new weapons quick. But there has to be a line. Actually paying money for someone to play the game for you...thats reallly fucking sad.

I LAWL at this.. I still do.

I don't understand why you'd want to do this for many reasons. Besides, you can't get all the achievements in under an hour. Can't do that alone with the orange box.

shady, ebay shady.

He'll probably just use gamesaves, meaning your gamertag'll be banned on the next wave.

Getting the 1000 is impossible in an hour. For starters completing all 4 campaigns on Expert will take at least 4 hours.

Gamesavers SUCK! I bet that they are using external tools to unlock the achievement, or at least some glitch. They ruin the achievement system. I'm am achievement whore and I wish these idiots would just stop. This has been happening for a while, just before it wasn't recent games.

The funny thing is, he's going to cheat to get all of the Achievements (only way you could do it in an hour), so if Microsoft gets wind of this, they'll just erase the Achievements and label the Gamertag as a cheater anyway.

I love getting achievements and all that, but damn. All the fun in achievements is earning them. Getting bragging rights is what you'd call an "added perk". I don't understand why someone would want to actually pay someone for this.

@MotoRobo

Achievements add replay value to games that otherwise have none. They keep you playing the game over and over again to get that next achievement until you've completed them all. It's a way to get your money's worth especially on short 6 hour games but will probably take you a week to get all the achievements in.

@grafkhun at 12/01/2008 15:41:

its easy with binding sv_cheats 1 and sv_cheats 0.
Beginning of dead air, take a pipe bomb, go stand on top of the bars. turn on sv cheats 1, make a zombie spawn command. and let like 300/400 zombies spawn. You turn off sv_cheats so achievements will count. And you throw the pipebomb.

But still getting all the achievements is not possible since lamb 2 slaughter achievement has bug and wont display on steam profile:P
