Wanna hear your voice in GTA4? photo

If you're not a mumbly-mouthed idiot, then you might actually have a real chance to hear your own voice on Liberty City radio. We're talking Grand Theft Auto IV here, people.

There's a real phone number to WKTT radio. Call it (212-360-2368) and wait for the tone, say and spell your name, and then bitch about the world or whatever you'd like. These calls are recorded and will be screened, and those that make the cut will be included in the audio for Grand Theft Auto IV.

From WKTT radio:

Does the anger of always being right make you feel like talking to someone? Have you got something to get off your chest? Don't bottle it up. Don't slur it at the bartender. Hear yourself on Liberty City radio!


Of course, there is some terms and conditions, but this is a pretty nifty promotion that Rockstar is holding. We just feel bad for the guy who has to go through all the crap to find a couple of useable gems.

It's a 212 number, you can call it for certain and leave your message but does the number start with 1-800 ? No, it doesn't, it starts with 212. YOUR CALLING NEW YORK FROM CANADA.

So to answer your question, yes you can call but you will accumulate the same charges for calling Manhattan from your location as if you called anyone else in Manhattan from your location.

actually Lazlow (yes, it is his real name) is the guy who does much of the radio humor bits. He's on Opie & Anthony (NYC comedy radio show) occasionally and talks about it.

Yea, I know what you're saying, the whole time I was playing San Andreas I thought I was playing GTA IV, but of course I was wrong. I figured you knew that but I couldn't resist.

At least it's a local number for you to call. I'd be dialing long distance. Though I'll still call if I can come up with a good rant.

But you can still count me as another one who feels sorry for "the guy who has to go through all the crap to find a couple of useable gems."

Yeah, I live in Long Island, so the call wouldn’t be any more expensive than usual. But what to rant about? There’s just so much about the world that angers me...like how the American healthcare system has gone to shit and is just about profit, and why can’t we do universal healthcare if Canada, France, and Britain managed to pull it off? Oh, wait...that’s been done already, and it was done quite well.
