Wallace and Gromit on their merry way to iPad photo

Telltale Games announced today that they are bringing the Wallace & Gromit series of games to the iPad. It seems as though they will be released episodically, just as they were for PC and Xbox Live Arcade, with The Last Resort to be the first to hit.

That's a little odd, because The Last Resort is the second game in the Wallace & Gromit series. I did find it to be a better time than the first, Fright of the Bumblebees, but there are established characters already by that point. Nothing hard to grasp, but some exposition would be lost. It's a curious thing.

Wallace & Gromit: The Last Resort will be priced at $4.99 in the App Store and will release in the near future.

I wonder if the lack of posts on this article is indicative of lack of interest in the game, or the iPad.

My money is on the game. Poor, poor Sam&Max. If the year was 1995 this would have more than 1 comment.

It is such a shame that these commercially failed so badly, they were really good and provided genuine entertainment in the Wallace and Gromit style, it was more enjoyable than any Sam and Max game i've ever played and I hope they release additional episodes in due time, however I can't see that happening.

A fantastic and enjoyable series, which made point & click easy and enjoyable on consoles.

Sweet. I'd love to see more Adventure games like this out on the iPad. Time Gentlemen, Please! is at the top of my list. Those guys from Zombie Cow are hilarious.

Fantastic! That's a damn good price as well. I hope it's a little more polished than the Sam n Max game that came out at launch.

@Rammstein: These games came out a while back and I imagine most people who frequent this site have already played them or just aren't interested in the game.
