The other day I actually saw an alarm clock in the shape of a plastic dog designed to bark frantically and run in circles on your nightstand until you woke up. Far more acceptable to my tastes is this SNES alarm clock mod, which you can see the full instructions on how to make here. You can also adjust it using the controller, which is a nice touch.

if this looks a bit familiar, that's because the modder also created the NES alarm clock way back when, which made the internet rounds a few years back. It is pretty cool, but I find myself craving mods on a larger scale lately. For instance, epic robot with ten playable systems built into his arms, legs and torso? Now we're talking...

i literally said -What- when he popped the cartridge/LCD clock out of the SNES and plugged it back in. My jaw dropped - that is fuckin' awesome!

Well it doesn't tell time on its own yet apparently since he pushes a button to get the minute hand to change and the alarm to sound, but regardless I would buy one in an instant if they sold these baby in retail.

It would only be acceptable if the alarm could only be turned off by inputting the Konami code.

The start button should pause time.

Okay I was expecting some cool SNES music from some game or something when the alarm went off, quite the killjoy when the boring beeping sound went off. Nice mod anyhow, cept the sound.
