Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!

Circle jumping, quite common among higher skill gamers playing Quake-based FPS games. It's a weird bug that allows you to move faster than normal by jumping and moving your mouse in quarter circles, or something, and it's technically a "bug", but has intentionally never been removed. Also, he makes rampant use of various "rocket jumping" techniques with explosive weapons, along with the Gauss gun with instant 180 degrees turning. I've never tried mastering circle jumping though, but the other techniques are far simpler to execute.
In HL1 if you land in Water or grab a ladder, no matter how far you fall you take 0 damage, and he does it every time he falls
Supposedly, tripmines actually are activated only after a second or so after they are spawned. So it is simply possible that if you run fast enough through the mine spawn trigger, you can run past it faster than it activates.
