In a weird turn of events, Pandemic Studio's Mercenaries Inc. -- or, as it's now tentatively dubbed, Mercs Inc. -- isn't canceled. In fact, it's still in pre-production. Apparently, all of the Internet buzz surrounding the project was enough for EA to go ahead and announce it fully.
"From the studio at EALA, a core creative team is forging new ground and conceptualizing new ideas for this exciting franchise," says EA senior VP and group general manager Nick Earl.
No other substantial news was given. Even though it's very rough around the edges, the video that circulated recently is indeed early footage. It could be quite some time before we see anything new on Mercs Inc., which is fine by me. Take your time, guys. Please.
Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied:
"bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

I have absolutely no faith In the franchise anymore which is too bad since it had great potential. Well at least I still have red faction - hopefully with the sequel. We'll get factions and player deployable orbital strikes.
