Quantcast

According to Codemaster's official Web site, a demo for their upcoming racer, GRID, will be making its way to "all the non-handheld formats" this week. Translation: a GRID demo will be available for the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 over the next few days (a Nintendo DS version of the title is also in the works).

The demo will have three events to compete in, allowing you to test drive a Ford Mustang GT-R in San Francisco, a Nissan S15 Silvia in Japan, and BMW 320si touring car in Jarama, Spain. This doesn't necessarily appeal to me -- I own two or three of each of those cars -- but poor people might be interested in taking these virtual cars for a ride in places they'll never go.

GRID is set to hit stores on June 3. Vroom vroom.

have they dropped the lower case in in GRiD? Or did I just imagine it was there in the first place, it's happened to me before.

That trailer is great. I just hope the game controls more like Forza 2 or PGR3 than Dirt.

Seriously I wish i could slap the person who made that vid. Someone should explain to him what "Sim" and "arcade-sim" means.

Racing games have near realistic physics!

Oh wait...

GRID...

I am officially interested. The physics better not suck, because almost all racing games have physics that suck. I don't want a sim, because I have GT Legends and Live for Speed for that. I just want the cars to be believable.

@blackholemonkey: GT5 is neither arcade or sim. It's a game with obsolete PS2 physics and tries to wish itself into the sim crowd by feeling like you're driving on a sea of sponges. I have no idea why people say it's realistic, because real cars definitely do not handle like that.
