Viva Piñata: Party Animals demo is out on XBL and doesn't suck ... wait, what? photo

Fire up your Xbox 360 and get on Live Marketplace, because a demo for Viva Piñata: Party Animals is now available for download.

Most of you probably ignored coverage of the game after hearing that Rare would not be the developer; I know I did. But hey, the demo is free after all, so what have you got to lose? Absolutely nothing.

If you go into Viva Piñata: Party Animals with an open mind and take the title for what it is – a party game – you’ll probably enjoy yourself. Casual, family-friendly games are not easy to come by on Xbox 360, so maybe that’s why it's so refreshing and fun.

Also, here's a bit of advice: do not let your girlfriend, wife, or kids play the demo unless you’re fully prepared to purchase Viva Piñata: Party Animals when it hits stores in late October. Don't say I didn't warn you!

If the original creative game didn't sell well, I can't see how a minigame collection with unpopular characters will.

Minigames are the way of the future...for moms, girlfriends, and little kids at least. They'll eat this up.

I can't wait to read the achievements for this.

I did like Viva Pinata though, so this might be my guilty pleasure.

The achievements will no doubt be a walk in the park.

So every single wii game sucks... but mini games on the 360 are different. Ok, now you make sense Destructoid.

I'm saying that mini-games are different on 360 because there's what, two other party games on the system (Fuzion Frenzy 2 and some Japanese board game)? So yeah, it's not something you see every day. Especially when said party game is decent in gameplay and graphics.

Plus, I never said that every single Wii game sucks ... although many do.

Am I the only one who can't find the demo on XBL?

You have to go to new demos and then "Bringing it Home."

How stupid, why have a section called bringing it home, with one demo underneath it. The demo should be up as viva pinata: party animals. What shitty interface usability. I hate stuff like that.
