I only got a small, early taste of Shinobido 2: Revenge of Zen earlier this around E3 year, so it was hard to see where Acquire was going with this Japanese stealth/action title. This new trailer gives us a much better look, and I'm thinking that it's looking pretty intense. And good.
In this trailer, Zen is pissed. My pissed is kicking things and sighing a lot. Zen's is speed cutting, slitting necks, flipping off walls, all done with style.
Shinobido 2 looks pretty deep, but I did have issues with the control when I played an early build. Let's hope they get that fixed.
Also, be sure to check out the new screenshots in our gallery below.
I wouldn't call them PS1 graphics, but the graphics here are pretty underwhelming. When Uncharted Golden Abyss can produce graphics like or beating Uncharted 1, this game is really ugly. Thankfully, this looks much better than before, when they looked like PS1 images. At least this looks like an early PS2 game now, but that's not saying much.
Fangasm at it's best! Damn, Shinobido was one of my favourite games on the Playstation 2, I always was a Tenchu fan, so that game is a must to me, and one of the main reasons why I want a Vita so bad.
Oh, Dale. Of course they didn't fix the controls. It's Acquire; there always has to be some massive drawback to their games that kills everyone's interest except for maniacs like Tubatic and myself.
We've just gone hands-on with the Xbox One controller here at Microsoft HQ. While they're not letting us play any games yet, it was still a good opportunity to check out the hand feel and get a closer look.

Upon completion, Shinobido 2: Revenge of Zen throws up an interesting question -- does the fun one has with a game justify the fact that it's a glorified port masquerading as a sequel? What if the original game is seven years...more
There probably aren't a whole lot of North American gamers familiar with the Shinobido series. After all, its past entries have never had an official release outside of Europe and Japan. Stealth fans, however, may want to take note of Shinobido 2: Revenge of Zen. With a deep crafting system and solid stealth mechanics, early adopters of the PlayStation Vita ought to keep an eye out for this one.more
