I wonder which version will be the superior version (if at all). If the 3DS doesn't have added features (besides 3D) I'll probably get the Vita version.
I want to hear what the controls are going to be like. If it's going to be touching everything with my finger the entire time, I don't know.
The 3DS touch screen actually bugs me because the screen is so small and the corners constantly fill with dust (for me at least). The Vita touch screen also feels a lot more responsive and natural to me for some reason.
That's probably because the Vita's touchscreen is capacitive. The 3DS' is not, because it has to be compatible with a stylus.
@Justin:
How about we just support the game in general.
I don't have anything against the 3DS, I'm playing Kid Icarus and Tales of the Abyss right now. I just like the touch better on the Vita and 999 had a lot of touch screen moments. Honestly, I will probably buy both versions just to support the game.
PAPER TOWEL!? Are you mad, man!? I wouldn't dare allow such abrasive filth to touch my screen and scratch it to high heaven! I only use high-quality microfiber cloths because I'm fancy and super nervous about ANYTHING happening to my machines.
If I get a 3DS game, I want the 3DS used or I want that larger cart space being used for something. I can let Devil Survivor skate by on all that added voice and new content, but that's about it. The ports of Blazeblue Continuum Shift II across PSP, 3DS and Vita have all been terrible and all three of them could have had online play, but didn't at all. 3DS has three online fighters, Vita has one. There is no damn excuse for only local multiplayer on a handheld anymore.
With this concern the 3DS version might not enable 3D - which I would prefer it did - and the concern with Vita is multi-touch would likely not be utilized. This is the mess you step into with ports for handhelds that isn't as common to consoles.
Oh btw, using the Vita browser seriously makes commenting a million times more fun (especially with a stylus)! U cangeta aw y with typing lyk thss. And pretty much no one can say your writting sucks 'cause you are not on a keyboard. It is pretty good times.
Uh... The Vita port of BlazBlue isn't of Continuum Shift II, it's of Continuum Shift Extend, and it does have online multiplayer. (The box only says Ad Hoc, but the game does actually have network play...)
By the way, thanks a bunch for your review! 999 is one of my favorite games of all time and I never would have picked it up if it wasn't for you.
@Lagomorph - Even so, why did the PSP and 3DS versions get the shaft? Why no network support for two systems that are rather clearly netw0rk-enabled, aside from "lazy port?"
Both Vita and 3DS owners are going to get the same game, and differences will be minimal. It's a visual novel/adventure game it's pretty much pre-rendered cut scenes and such. It's not like chuggy frame rate or texture issues will mess up either version.
@Fandango
Yup the 3DS version is in 3D.
We can't possibly have red any where near box art any more.
