Just when online gaming couldn't get even more sordid, it seems that a virtual gold selling company is now providing the services of online "escorts" to accompany you on your geeksome adventures. Gamepal is promoting these "escorts" as companions that "can do anything you want and everything you ask for." Oh dear.
According to the finer details, this escort service is less racy than its saucy advertising might lead one to believe, but considering the site's promotional image is of an orc pimping out a pair of elven tarts, one can't help but wonder if this is about as innocent as those "massage parlors" that line the streets of Soho. From the Gamepal ad:
"An Escort Service is a new feature that allows you to hire an escort to assist you in the game. Absolutely anything you want can be done, even when you have logged off the game! Ask any questions you want. Have him take you wherever you want to go. Give him orders to help you in your quests. Include him in your strategy."
Even if this particular service isn't a cover for raids of a more shameful nature, it won't be long until someone takes this to the next level. The idea of a sexual escapade not being exploited online is akin to the idea of the lead singer of System of a Down not sounding like some demented clown. Some things in life are just inevitable. As for me, I'm about to go get some more "experience" points with my rod of healing ... and I'll try not make any World of Whorecraft jokes as I do.

You can pay someone to help you do stuff in the game, but wait, isn't WoW all about making friends and being in a guild? Your telling me you are so socially inept that you can't find *1 person* to help you complete your quest or what-have-you?
