Virtua Fighter 5 (360) goes gold, I hate Miguel [UPDATE]
Team Xbox has news that Sega's Virtua Fighter 5 for the Xbox 360 has finally gone gold and will be shipping on October 30, 2007. I could go into detail on why this title is so utterly amazing, especially in this incarnation, but the lazy way to do that is to just quote Team Xbox:
The addition of online play means people from around the world will be able to frustrate themselves on the most technical fighting title ever created, and a select few will utterly destroy the rest of us. We're torn as to how awesome this development is, as obviously it's awesome, but we're not looking forward to having Miguelito constantly make us feel like the children of Dresden circa February 16, 1945. How can a boy so tiny have so much fury?! [UPDATE: Orionsaint is correct: there is now a demo of Virtua Fighter 5 on the XBL Marketplace. We're assuming it popped up around 2AM PST, as I'm pretty positive it wasn't there when I glanced at it yesterday.] Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)Yep and VF5 looks gorgeous on 360!!! HDTV owners are gonna love it. It really pops. Controllers are spot on and the animations are nice. The music is the only weak part, but that's a staple of the VF series. An improvement on the PS3 version but I'm still doubtful of the online play being up to par of the needed 60fps. All my other games are going to start being neglected come October 31st... VF5 is simply awesome, and I'm hoping the online lives up to expectations (please SEGA - server play! Not host play!) BEST WEEK FOR DEMOS EVER!!!. PGR4, COD4, UT, and now VF. Fuck, I ran outta booze on Wed and dont how am I gonna catch up playing all these demos. he only had 20 some wins in a row.. though i'm pretty sure every member of the dtoid community that was at PAX had their asses handed to them by him. 2:30 PM on 12.20.2012 SEGA Cup: Virtua Fighter Tournament 2013 datedSega has announced the SEGA Cup: Virtua Fighter Tournament 2013, which is set to take place at the Super Arcade in Los Angeles on April 20, 2013.
