Vigilante 8: Arcade submitted to Microsoft for certification photo

V8: Arcade developer Ispod Labs has revealed that its Xbox LIVE Arcade title is complete and ready for approval by saying, "it’s been a long road, but ... the game was released to Microsoft today for what we hope to be *final* submission."

For those of you unfamiliar with V8: Arcade, it's a "re-imagining" of Vigilante 8 and Vigilante 8: Second Offense wrapped up into a nice little 800-point package.

I own (and love) Second Offense on the Dreamcast, and I've gotta say, the 8-player online battles are going to be an absolute blast (pun intended) to play whenever this remake drops.

As you might know, the certification process is a brutal one, and it could still be a long while before we get our hands on V8: Arcade. Here's hoping it gets through quickly!

Twisted Metal was superior, but seeing as how us sony would never dare publish that on the xbox V8 may be the closest we get to Twisted Metal.

The original V8 was one of my favorite N64 games. I never grabbed the DC sequel but I look forward to this.

FUCK.
YEAH.
As long as there's still death-dealing disco-ball attacks, this will be the best XBLA game ever.

I was never a fan of Vigilante 8. It seemed like too much of a ripoff of Twisted Metal, which I already didn't like.

I did enjoy the V8 Games more than Twisted Metal after TM3 dropped, It just played better for me. Here's hoping I won't ever hear about Rogue Trip being released on Live anytime soon.

I remember hearing about this coming on XBLA months and months ago. Was a great game on the Playstation, will definitely be picking it up once it hits the 360.
