Viewtiful Joe joins the Tatsunoko VS Capcom cast photo

Upcoming Wii brawler Tatsunoko VS. Capcom already has a badass cast of characters, but they've stepped it up with the addition of Viewtiful Joe. Joining our boy Joe will be Saki from Quiz Nanairo Dreams (also in Marvel VS Capcom), and Ippatsuman, says IGN. But they pale in comparison.

Capcom's sidescrolling superhero fanboy will make his trimpuhant return as a playable character in TvsC, fitting right in alongside anime and game heroes of legend. This was revealed today in Tokyo's Shinagawa area at a fighting event.

The game that we'll never get becomes increasingly appealing. How much is a Japanese Wii again?

...

It's times like this where I hate that almost no systems are region-free. What's the reason behind it anyway?

I'm so glad that I haven't updated my Wii system since late 2007. Import GET!

@CelicaCrazed: I pretty sure it's the Tatsunoko logo.

On topic, this game is looking better every day. Top of my import list and... well... It's the only one on it.

@DynamicDonut, the Wii is arguably the only region locked system now, apart from a handful of 360 releases. Homebrew channel GET!

Wheres the US port, jesus.

It's because in the US, all the rights to the different Tatsunoko properties are owned by different distributers. They're looking at it for 'sometime in the future' i.e. when everyone says yes.

This game was already a sure-fire import for me when Megaman Volnutt was in. This just further solidifies my resolve to own this game.

This has "never going to be localized" written all over it.

I'm still putting my hopes in a new Marvel vs. Capcom.

The best bit about this news is the fact that Joe still has his enormously big head.

All they have to do now is through the alien from Under the Skin in this game, and it will officially have the most screwed and chopped roster of all time.

little-known fact: Viewtiful Joe is my favorite video game character. He's like that nerd in all of us gamers/movie lovers that wants to be in the screen and be the hero.
