I hope this video satisfies your desire for disclosure photo
I hope this video satisfies your desire for disclosure
by Bill Zoeker

Here's the full triple-scoop disclosure bottom line. Alessandro and I went to cover this preview event for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt last week. I was late to be added to the list, so we knew going in that we'd have to share a demo station. Now, for whatever reason, I thought there was going to be direct feed video capture of the gameplay, so I was gonna get that while Alessandro played, and make a video about it later. There was no capture option.

Looking around the event, eating finger foods, and trying to think of a way to make myself useful, I realized, "Some people think this salami will manipulate me into saying nice things about the game that I don't mean. The people must know of these finger foods!" So, I took some pictures of the stuff they had there and, me being me, made the dumbest, most unnecessary disclosure I could. Obviously, it's not needed. We already disclose this shit on our content. But I saw an opportunity to make a funny, and gosh darnit, I took it! I hope it makes you chuckle, ethically.

Ghost Song is an unsettling Metroid-like adventure

Nintendo may not be working on a new 2D Metroid, but we've got creators like Matt White and Tom Happ out there filling that void with Ghost Song and Axiom Verge, respectively. I come away feeling like we're in good hands eve...

A Five Nights at Freddy's 3 trailer to ensure you don't sleep at night

Not sleeping's kind of the point of Five Nights at Freddy's. After all, a conked-out security guard defeats the whole purpose. But, at least other night-time employees have the underrated luxury of not being murdered by the ...

We may not have Dying Light yet, but you can have a Dying Light trailer

Chris already briefed you on the Dying Light review situation. It's grim, bleak, and kind of desperate -- a lot like a real zombie apocalypse, I guess. Good job, Techland; you've achieved perfect thematic #synergy. Even thou...

Gunsport's idea of a dystopian future is cyberpunk volleyball

In the future, two teams of two people will face one another in small arenas. Guns at the ready, they will prepare their trigger fingers, take aim, and fire... at a volleyball. At least, that is what Gunsport predicts the fu...

Resident Evil HD causes night terrors, sandwiches photo
Resident Evil HD causes night terrors, sandwiches
by Steven Hansen

I had a real weird night with Resident Evil HD.

It's continuing as I look for screens to use as thumbnail images and stumble upon nude, pregnant Jill mods for Resident Evil 4. And here I thought I was making questionable use of my time.

Sup Holmes mazers the starrs with Don Thacker photo
Sup Holmes mazers the starrs with Don Thacker
by Jonathan Holmes

[Update: Show's over folks! If you missed it live, I highly recommend you check out the rerun when it's posted later in the week. This one was a non-stop insight and comedy show, complete with e-hole. In the meantime, here is Dtoid exclusive trailer for Starr Mazer, featuring a crunchy, Turbografx-16 influenced soundtrack. I love it.]

This week on Sup Holmes, we're welcoming Don Thacker to the program. Don is teaming up with former Sup Holmes guests Austin Montville and Miles Tillman on Starr Mazer, an amazing looking point-and-click shmup. The game has an incredible look, an all-star soundtrack, and is already about a 3rd of the way to funding after a couple of days of being on Kickstarter, so I have no doubt that it will make it.

Part of my confidence in Starr Mazer comes from my familiarity with Don's past work. I mainly know him from his position at Imagos Films, who created the live action trailers for Jazzpunk, Potatoman Seeks the Troof, and Sportsball just to name a few. We'll be talking to Don about all that, plus literally everything else we can mazer. Join us here 4pm EST forr a rrocking good converrsation.

ArenaNet unveils Guild Wars 2's first expansion, Heart of Thorns photo
ArenaNet unveils Guild Wars 2's first expansion, Heart of Thorns
by Chris Carter

Guild Wars 2 is a pretty great MMO. It's buy-to-play, which means you have to purchase the initial package first, then there's no subscription fees or nasty progression-hindering microtransactions. You buy the game, and it feels like a full game.

Over the past few years though I feel like I've done everything that interests me personally, so I'm glad that developer ArenaNet just announced the expansion Heart of Thorns, that will be playable at PAX East this year. It will take place in a jungle-heavy realm, and will allow players to earn new skills, as well as access new "Specializations" that entail cool new abilities like hang gliding.

The main draw is the brand new storyline, which will have players go up against the elder dragon Mordremoth. New maps, another competitive mode, Guild Halls, and extra world events will also await.

Oh, and the base game is $10 temporarily.

The return of news on Dtoid's YouTube channel? Lets start with Pokkén Tournament

Beard View impressions of Puzzle & Dragons Z on 3DS photo
Beard View impressions of Puzzle & Dragons Z on 3DS
by Jonathan Holmes

When Nintendo announced the New Super Mario Bros. version of Puzzle & Dragons for the 3DS, reports came in that their stock values skyrocketed. Puzzle & Dragons is a huge hit on mobile devices in Japan, much like Candy Crush and Angry Birds are in the United States. While the series needs no introduction in its home country, the rest of the world might need a little more information on Puzzle & Dragons before we get too excited about it. Good thing we have Jed from Beard View to help us understand what this Pokemon meets Bejeweled-style union of mass compulsion is all about.

Beard View is a new series from Dtoid and DimmuJed that offers impressions of games that many of us know of but have never been able to play. We're starting off with Japanese 3DS games, but we could go anywhere from there. If you have games that you've only heard about but have never gotten to see for yourself, let us know and we'll try to get them on Beard View

While you're at it, let me know what you think of the Beard View theme song. Like with opening number for Amber's Unboxing Series, it's all my fault.
