The official Catherine website has updated with new screenshots and videos giving a look at some of the elements from the game's adventure portion set in the Stray Sheep bar. Above is an example of the "Rapunzel" arcade game which appears to be a simplified version of Catherine's action stages,

A second video shows off the bar's jukebox. Vincent can use this to change the music in the bar. As the video below shows, it features music from Catherine as well as tracks from a number of the Shin Megami Tensei games, including Persona 3, Persona 4, Nocturne and Digital Devil Saga.

While I certainly don't mind having the option to change whatever music I'm listening to, especially when the songs available come from soundtracks that I love, I hope there's more to the jukebox than just a sound test. It would be great if the music you played had some effect on the mood of the people in the bar, making it an actual gameplay mechanic. Of course, I'll settle for localization in the US. The demo rocked my world.

Hah. Nice. I was looking for cameos while watching the demo (don't have Gold right now).
Only one I found was Naoto in that little stylised video at the start.

Why is the minigame just like the regular game? How is there any point to it?

I loved the look of the demo, but was anyone else massively surprised by the choice of the Gamebryo engine?

So there is a mini-game in the game that is practically a demake of the game itself? That is AWESOME!!!

Did I just see Heartful Cry? This is good, but lets hope you can add more themes as you go through the game.

The demo was tons of fun! I really hope that they localize it. Atlus has been really cool in the past when it comes to localization, so they better not eff us over now :P

Gamebryo is one of the cheapest engines available with PS3/360 suppport, and Atlus likely doesn't have the resources to make their own. So no, it's not hugely surprising. While it's most famous for Bethesda's usage of it, the engine has actually been used in a lot of lesser known (and mostly crappy) titles...

And getting a nice big playlist of Meguro music is never a bad thing.

@timtheterrible: wait what? Gamebryo engine? where did you get that info, if true i really hope it doesn't end up causing a massively buggy game.

I'm into Rapunzel. Looks like it might be a little more fun than the main game.

@Jonathan Holmes
I must not be seeing it, but the minigame doesn't look like it offers anything different than the main game.

@Holmes: Yeah, what teakayfortoowon said. I fail to see how what you see here is any more or less fun than the main gameplay of Catherine. Except, of course, in its presentation. Unless you're saying that the only thing separating you from enjoying Catherine is the presentation.
