On November 19, Microsoft will make available to Xbox 360 the New Xbox Experience, a complete frontend update for the Xbox 360.

With it comes many changes beyond simply how it looks -- new avatars, the ability to form parties, and more. Microsoft has put together three videos detailing some of the new features, and boy, are they excited about it. Beyond the "talking heads" is some good information and, more importantly, some good visuals of the New Xbox Experience.

Hit the jump for two more videos detailing avatars and party creation, and check back later today for our hands-on impressions of the New Xbox Experience.

He does realize that all the things "Parties" provides are already possible right? He isn't adding some new feature, I can do all those things on the 360 now =/

"It is where you get to enjoy entertainment".

Oh, man! All this time I have not been enjoying entertainment, I only thought I was. I feel like I'm seeing the world in a whole new light now.
Thank you, New Microsoft Experience, for allowing me to finally enjoy entertainment.

Oh look, it's early PS3 schizophrenic marketing mixed with a desperate grab at the casual market.

oh sweet! Because chatting using the XBOX controller is so easy and not distracting from whatever you happened to be doing. When your friends interrupt your game of Fallout 3 to tell you they're touching themselves, it's going to be so awesome to have to pause the game or DVD to reply back "lol"

I'm sure they're just trying to target different people than myself but I hate it when videos like this, and there are pleanty, say things like "It's in your living room, that's where you enjoy entertainment." It makes me feel they're not considering anything else even though I'm sure they are.

Another thing, there's just something about Microsoft spokesmen like these guys, they just creep me out. The same goes for Lucas Arts guys too. I'm not saying I want some lame 20 something hipster. But instead of the calm, late 30s "wise uncle" sort of person who knows what he's talking about I get the lame, late 30s "weird uncle" desperately trying to hang on to his youth by rapping or some awkward shit feeling from them all. Am I the only one?

Expect huge server lag and maybe downtime as every 360 owner tries to download the update. Way worse than the Little Big Planet launch. I know I'll be doing it too. This might get me back to my Xbox if my HD doesn't error 68 again and finally die. My favorite line is from the avatars video: "the Xbox team is making a commitment to personalization." How many MS points is it gonna cost us?
