I had no idea that Strider was going to be as rad as it is. Leading up to release I expected a kind of meh platformer that was all style with no substance. Well I feel foolish. The neon-soaked ninja nonsense (alliteration) is an action Metroidvania that makes me happy.

Want to see how wrong I was? Well we're playing the game LIVE and UNCUT with other WORDS WITH CAPITALIZATION. Oh, also it's on PS4 so there's that. Want to get in on this nonsense? All you have to do is check out Dtoid.tv at 2pm Pacific and we'll fill your eyeballs with so much neon you'll want to explode. THAT'S A LOT.

Live Show: Embracing (our inner) children with Child of Light

About three weeks ago I actively didn't care about Child of Light. I wasn't interested in JRPGs and certainly not JRPGs developed by Ubisoft. And then it all changed. JPRGs have a long history of great music. From the ea...more
