Videogamer: The Film Seeks Funding
"Through our numbers we can get the world talking about innovation. The gaming industry revolution is now." Videogamer: The Film is a neat little project with a huge undertaking -- a full-length film which pulls back the curtains on game creation and explores the innovative process behind making a major video game. The project hopes to combine the views of everyone involved in the process from start to finish including developers, publishers, directors, studios, journalists, and gamers. With the success of Indie Game: The Movie, a film like this could potentially catch on. It would be insightful at the very least to view what goes on behind the scenes of bigger games like Borderlands 2 and Tomb Raider. The minds behind Videogamer: The Film have already started their quest by filming at IGN's Judgement Day back in December, but are in need of funds to continue the project. Along with the big players from Gearbox and 2K Games, a few media outlets (including Destructoid!) have agreed to participate in the film. Check out the video and pledge rewards on the Videogamer: The Film Kickstarter page. Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
