Videogame 'yeller' issued a summons for disorderly conduct photo

Are you a "yeller?" I sure as hell am. Any unexpected death or loss in any videogame has me yelling at my television and game consoles at the top of my lungs. I'm not Angry German Kid bad, and I realize that none of these objects can hear me, but it makes me feel better. One time, my dog bit me because I scared the sh*t out of him after yelling at a game.

I suppose I had better watch the volume of my exclamations. One gamer in Denver received a visit from deputies for his.

The Denver YourHub tells us that deputies responded to a domestic disturbance callat 5 a.m. on May 7. The county sheriff's office blotter says that a 39-year-old man said he heard yelling and doors being slammed and said it had been going on for months.

In the apartment below him, the wife of our yeller said her husband plays video games all night, much like you and I. The problem here is that he gets upset when he loses and yells obscenities at his gaming gear. Old Yeller was issued a summons for disorderly conduct.

Do you scream at the television when you lose/fail? If so, what game made you the most angry and loud? For me it was Shadow of the Colossus. Damn those tall colossi!

I only yell if there's someone to hear it, i.e. a pissant on XBL.

I occasionally pound my fist on my desk if it's single player.

I wept when I died in SoTC.

I usually mutter curse words under my breath. I certainly don't yell.

It's almost unavoidable that I will swear while playing a game. How often and how seriously I swear depends on what I'm playing and how badly I'm losing. Last night's Brawl games against a friend of mine saw six uses of "fuck" in a single round and a thrown TV remote.

I yell when I'm sure no one is around. More than anything, I punch the bed or the soft cushy armrest.

A few times, when the bed is too far away, I punch myself in the leg, that area right above the knee.

Usually happens on games where I consider something "cheap" has happened, Virtua Fighter, NBA Street, NFL 2K5, games like that.

I silently cast my voodoo hexes on folks I'm playing against.

I don't want users to think i'm an assh*le with that last post, but in my younger years i would spew obscenity after obscure obscenity like a garbage geyser.

But when tough games get to me, i would punch the armrest or punch my leg. For extremes i'd go side and -vent- at the bars. And by -vent- i mean drink.

I yell uncontrollably. And swear. Not all the time, just in BS situations. Mostly in online Halo3/Cod4 matches with randoms. Getting stuck on team retard is a guaranteed rise in blood pressure. Makes me feel better that I'm not the only one.

I've never been a huge yeller, but a handful of games have made me get noisy in recent months. I yelled (a bit) at Rainbow 6 Vegas, and mario kart wii got me to vocalize a bit, but also? i recently started playing No More Heroes, and.. yeah, I can't help but shout everytime travis does a finisher or a wrestling move... or when his health is low. i'm a little embarassed, but nobody's called me on it yet, so....

also, I was really vocal through the Half Life episodes of Orange Box. Gordon Freeman doesn't talk, so I spoke for him, and... by the time I was done, I'd lost all respect for Alyx, for putting up with the abusive language I vommitted at her, and still giving Gordon the big puppy-dog eyes.

still, you know a game is providing the awesome action if you'll get so involved that you provide your own voice-acting for the mute characters.

I don't ever recall yelling but I did use to make weird whining and grunting noises when I died a cheap death or just died multiple times.

The irony of the above article is that had something had really been going on and he was chopping someone up with an axe or using his bedroom as a dungeon, no one would have noticed what was going on until someone broke for the door and was found wandering the streets naked and covered in blood .

I yell a lot at Team Fortress 2. The whole Critical shot system is pretty much designed to piss you off.

im not a yeller much, but on rare occasions when the game is being a cheap ass fucker I get mad and yell. When I was little I was controller thrower. I even did the famed "Ball And Chain" swing where you unplug the remote and swing it by the cord into the couch repeated times. I dropped this habit when I started buying my own systems.

I constantly swear "fuck!", but it's usually under my breath.

Lol fighting and screaming that has been going for months before he decides to call the cops? If it would have been a real domestic disturbance, the wife would've been dead allready :-)

Depending on how much I care I scream, but I find myself screaming more frequently at fighting games. It's usually in short bursts to, like 'SHIT FUCK!' or 'MY ASS!!!'. If its real bad and I'm wrapped up in the moment I start to rampage on inanimate objects... One time I was playing Tekken 5 DR on my PSP... I pushed the screen with my thumbs till the LCD shattered. That were a costly rage dump.

I had a friend who actually got insurance on his controllers because he would throw them and break them so often!

I also have a group of friends that received a noise ordinance for playing Rock Band too loudly.
