Pffff. This is nothing. Video games also helped unlock the mysteries of the ninth chevron, and I'm pretty sure figuring out how to travel billions of light years in the blink of an eye is a little more important than silly AIDS.
I've become pretty good myself in Picross. I wonder if there's a real-world problem I could solve with it.
That's really cool. A real-world application of the "neural net" idea of using networked human brains as a giant distributed computing system. Obviously this is a very crude implementation, but think of what could be accomplished if we keep developing stuff like this.
