Earlier this year, we gave you a first-look at Vogster Entertainment's upcoming third-person shooter massively multiplayer title, CrimeCraft.
Set in a gritty, urban environment, CrimeCraft isn't like the slew of other PC MMOs already available. There are no dragons. No orcs. It's not in a sci-fi setting. It's not based on an existing IP. No, CrimeCraft appeals to a market that's long been overlooked, folks more interested in games like Grand Theft Auto or other "more realistic" shooters.
We had a chance to sit down with some folks from Vogster to give us a run down on what you can expect when the slick-looking title hits PC later this year. Hit the jump to see CrimeCraft in action.
looks a bit generic, I don't think I'd pay 15$ a month for it, however i may play if its free to play or one time payment. It's dependent on reviews really.
The combat looks shallow, and the game looks to PVP centric. They need to add more PVE and more NON-combat related stuff to the game. PVP heavy games aren't all that great if they're nothing to do but kill other players.
Yea, so you're telling me because CrimeCraft has "craft" in the title as Warcraft, people will somehow think it has to do with Warcraft? First of both of the games has nothing in comparison, they're two totally different games. Secondly there are multiple other games with the Craft in the title. Now Warcraft may have helped popularize the term "craft" in game titles, but going so far as to say that game companies lose credibility because they put "craft" in the title of their game is a extreme.
Well, if you object to Crimecraft because the title sounds stupid, then yea, it's sort of stupid. Although it is sort of linguistically correct. Maybe the Craft of Crime or Art of Crime would suit your taste.
Yeap, calling a MMO "CrimeCraft" is blatantly riding the coat-tails of World of Warcraft's immense MMO success. It immediately sounds blatant, copied, generic, inferior etc. To me, its akin to all the shit Tycoon games, none of which have anything to do with the original Tycoon creators (2 lazy 2 wiki :P railroad & roller coaster are good).
Which is a shame because this looks like Saints Row the MMO - actually it looks exactly like the multiplayer part. Crimecraft has got a lot to prove if originality is their goal- I wouldn't pay $15/pm unless there is an RPG component & it was really really really really good.
This looks like any other MMO except for the setting and the mechanic through which you repeatedly kill things. I'm noticing it's lacking vehicles, why force players to walk around in a GTA-like? If it really is free I'll definitely check it out, if the software is free but you have to pay a subscription, well I'll probably buy a month or two.

How? Explain how Craft is is plagaristic? And how is it taking credibility away?
I don't know these people. They seem suspect to me.
