Here's the first video in a God-knows-how-many video series from last Saturday's Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars launch event. This one focuses on Capcom big-wig Ryota Niitsuma. He's a very serious man, but I managed to make him laugh a couple of times. I also inspired a few awkward pauses, which at least I think are funny.

There's a lot of good info here, and if Niitsuma-san gets his way, I get the sense that he's going to make some pretty kick-ass games in the future. This guy's in it for the right reasons, or at least, he sure seems like he is.

Also, how awesome is that he didn't know that there was an audience for mini-game compilations amongst American Wii owners? That's the kind of ignorance I can get behind.

Another amazing video/interview, Holmes. Always look forward to them! =) They are simple, honest and effective.
Loved how Ryota Niitsuma answered your question concerning third party developers having trouble finding success on the Wii. Capcom just hopes to make good games for any system. Nice.
Also, good to see more videos here on DTOID, although I'm glad the site isn't loaded with them. Other gaming sites have just too many videos and they aren't very good. I mean, they are only so many videos you can watch in a day.
That is all.
Looking forward to this game! Damn, too bad Mr. Wright didn't make the cut.

You butchered the dude's name in the title, Holmes. You typed "Niistumura" instead of "Niitsuma."

Anyway, that was pretty funny! I love how you would hold the mic up to his face and just nod as he gave his answers like you knew what the hell he was talking about. I'm assuming the translator's interpretations were the recorded Niitsuma answered and then layered on top of the original audio.

Also, nice not-so-subtle third party jab there: "It sounds like if you believe the game is good, people will buy the game no matter what system it's on." *ominous silence*

That last segment melted my heart. Seeing a Smash Bros vs. Capcom or something along the lines of what happened for the GCN version of SC2 would be an absolute dream.

Nintendo Vs. Capcom, make it happen and no, don't make it like SC2 on the gamecube that game was a joke.

I'm still not buying any of these games until I can beat people up with the power of objections.
